Invisible Mountain is a photography and travel site. It is also a blog documenting stories, people, countries, and ideas. It is about life experienced during long-term, ongoing travel. The places shown on the Invisible Mountain page were picked somewhat randomly, and most of the people shown are unknown to the photographer, or met only briefly.
What does Invisible Mountain mean? It has many possible meanings. Many of the people in the photographs on this site exist on the margins of society. In a way they are an invisible people. This site I offer as a testament to them, and a home for them to be honored. Many believe that photography is a visual art; however, when I take photographs, in general, I try to remember: “One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
